'A Little Red Hen Christmas' celebrates the spirit of the season!

Santa’s Elves have been busy putting together some Christmas Magic at The Little Red Hen Theatre for their upcoming holiday production; A Little Red Hen Christmas! 

The production features short comedic scenes and familiar stories, live musical performances of your holiday favorites, and special performances by community groups. The production will run over three performances, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9 – 11.

“A Little Red Hen Christmas is really a community celebration – with just a dash of our own holiday magic added” said Managing Director, T. Adam Goos. 

The show features short comedic scenes about Santa and his Elves, a theatricalized ‘Twas the night before Christmas', as well as staged re-tellings of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas and The Gift of the Magi. Live music is featured throughout the show, including performances by the cast and invited guests.

Audiences will be treated to holiday standards like “O Holy Night”, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, and “Winter Wonderland”, as well as modern songs like “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. Community groups have also been invited to participate and the show will feature performances by Salem Lutheran’s Bell Choir, Tiffany and Noah Lamprecht with youth from Wakefield Covenant Church, Tegan Nissen, Mikkie Mogus, Esly Ovando, and the Siouxland Discovery Chorus, which will bring their own special barbershop magic to the show.

In addition to community groups performing, The Little Red Hen Theatre has also invited guest directors to take command of the stage and help bring scenes to life. Directors for the production include Dawn Reimers, Katelyn Pommer, Amanda Stuhr and Melanie Loggins.
