Beverly A. Etter, 92, of Wayne, died Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Wayne Countryview Care in Wayne.
Public visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 7 at Journey Christian Church in Wayne. Public graveside services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 7 at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Journey Christian Church in Wayne.

Beverly Ann Etter was born Oct. 20, 1931 on a farm northwest of Wayne to Albert Nels and Edna Mae (Jeffrey) Anderson. She was baptized at First United Methodist Church and later Journey Christian Church in Wayne. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1948, Commercial Extension Business College, and received her Degree from Financial Women’s International, after many seminars and hard work.
Beverly was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Omaha, before moving to Wayne in 1952. She began working at State National Bank where she was employed for 50 years leaving her position as Vice President and Executive Secretary. She then worked at Wayne Country Club retiring after 10 years. Beverly married Ralph Etter Jan. 23, 1959 at the First United Methodist Church in Wayne. They lived their entire married life in the Wayne community.
Beverly was past member of First United Methodist Church and present member of Journey Christian Church. She was past president of American Legion Auxiliary, member of Wayne Country Club, United States Golf Association, Gideons International Auxiliary, and was treasurer for Wayne Wrestling Club for many years. She was an avid sports fan cheering on Wayne State College and Wayne High School athletes.
Survivors include her sons, John D. Etter of Wayne and Dr. Thomas M. (Amy) Etter of Ponca; grandson, Samuel Gomez-Etter of Wayne; granddaughters, Audrey Etter, Sydney Etter and Haley Etter of Ponca; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph, on Jan. 13, 2024; parents; daughter-in-law, Marisela Gomez-Etter and parents-in-law, James William “Bill” and Ocie (Sawyer) Etter.
