Teri Fettig, 39, former employee of Kinship Pointe in Wayne, faces two felony charges and a misdemeanor following alleged unauthorized use of a resident's personal financial transaction device.

Previously, Fettig's charges included a Class 3A Felony of Abuse of Vulnerable Adult, Class 1 Misdemeanor of Unauthorized Use of a Financial Transaction Device and a Class 3 Misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Financial Transaction Device.

On June 6, the court raised the Class 1 Misdemeanor to a Class IV Felony.

Throughout the month of February, Fettig allegedly used the a 69-year-old resident's card for personal purchases at Wayne's Dollar General, 4th Jug and Casey's.

The original charge, based on surveillance and receipts obtained by the Wayne Police Department, set the unauthorized use at $500 - $1,500. After further investigation, the total purchases sit between $1,500 - $5,000, leading to a felony charge.

Fettig's arrest took place in March, after the resident's power of attorney noticed multiple charges on the resident's credit card statement.

Her jury trial is set to start in July.
