Volunteer firefighters from Wayne, Winside and Carroll responded to a fire at Discount Furniture Friday evening.
The call to the fire just north of Wayne on Highway 35 came in at approximately 6:30 p.m.
The fire was contained to an area outside the building that contained used furniture.
Also assisting were the Providence Medical Center ambulance, Wayne County Sheriff's Office and crews from Northeast Public Power.
No estimate of damage has been reported and the cause is under investigation.
