Laurel Ag Days to be celebrated

The Laurel Chamber Community Club is inviting everyone to the annual Laurel Ag Days.

If you missed out on the Thursday and Friday, June 12 - 13 events, make plans to join them on both Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15.

Activities began on Thursday with Jersey Sweet Ice Cream in the parking lot of Citizens State Bank.

The Ag Day Pool Party  took place at the Laurel Pool. Admission was free included a ping pong ball float.

A family movie was shown at the Haskell Field parking lot.

Friday's events showcased community-wide garage sales throughout the day.

Self-guided tours of the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge High School were available, a Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tourney began at the Laurel City Park. and Dueling Pianos by The Fun Pianos Show closed out the evening from the Laurel Community Center.

On Saturday, June 14, Community-wide garage sales will continue and the Laurel Senior Center will host an open house with coffee and rolls being served. Both begin at 8 a.m.

The Laurel Farmer's Market will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the east part lot of the new Senior Center-Laurel Community Center.

Registration for the Ag Days Fun Run/Walk organized by  the LCC Cross Country will take place at 8 a.m. at the Shelter House in the City Park. The run/walk begins at 8:30 a.m. with strollers welcome.

The Ag Days Parade starts at Hillcrest Care Center at 10:30 a.m. and proceeds north to Main Street.

Saturday in the Park activities are scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Included will be food trucks,  a tractor show/drive, Kiddie Tractor Pull and co-ed sand volleyball tourney from noon to 6 p.m.

Beginning at 3 p.m., an all-class reunion will be held at the Laurel VFW.

The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Alumni Association Banquet begins at 5:30 p.m. at the high school.

This year's Ag Days celebration comes to an end on Sunday, June 15 with a Father's Day Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Laurel Vets Club.

A Father's Day Golf Tournament will begin at 10 a.m. at the Cedar View Golf Course.
