Residents in the Westwood Addition of Wayne, particularly those on Sunset Drive, awoke Friday morning to lots of 'decorations' in their yards and on the streets.
Thursday's strong winds blew hundreds of tumble weeds and other debris into the yards of many of the homeowners in this area.
Fortunately, Thursday's winds were not accompanied by snow and there were no reports of fires in the area. Several wildfires were reported in Stanton county, south of the Wayne area.
Forecasts call for above normal temperatures and no snow for the coming week, to the dismay of anyone who was hoping for a white Christmas.
