The Wayne Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire call at 12:40 a.m. on Friday (Feb. 4).
When they arrived on scene they found an apartment fully engulfed in flames.
One person was transported from the scene to Providence Medical Center with burns.
Firefighters remained on scene until approximately 4:45 a.m.
The State Fire Marshall was called in to assist with the investigation. It was determined that the fire was caused by electrical wiring in the structure.
The structure and all the contents were determined to be a total loss.
