#11 Wayne State College finishes with three in double figures during road sweep, block party at Augie

For the second time in a week and a half, two NSIC teams met up but this time in a non-conference setting.

From the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, #11 Wayne State College visited Augustana University on Tuesday.

Two competitive sets closed out the match as WSC secured the 3-0 sweep on the road 25-17, 25-23, 25-23. The Wildcats are now 19-4 overall and remained 11-2 in NSIC play while the Vikings moved to 10-13 and stayed at 6-7 in league play with the match being a non-conference outing.

The Wildcats also swept Augie 3-0 in Wayne on October 17.

Taya Beller recorded a team-high 14 kills with four digs and four blocks (one solo), Molly Romano posted 39 assists, five digs and one block as Brooke Peltz led WSC in digs with 24.

Maggie Brahmer (.435) followed with 12 kills and five blocks; Brooklyn Kusler added 11 kills, five digs and three blocks (one solo); Channatee Robles tallied five kills, seven digs and five blocks (one solo) as Taylor Bunjer tacked on one kill, three digs and a block. Other digs came from Anna Borner (six) and Allie Petry (four).

Kusler and Robles both finished with a service ace.

Wayne State College hit .269 and held Augustana to .090. WSC also held advantages in points (56-52), kills (43-37), blocks (11-6) and digs (40-34).
