After picking up two road wins to open NSIC play, now #14 Wayne State College will look to entertain the home crowd over the next week.
WSC first swept Minnestoa Crookston (25-13, 25-13, 25-9) on Sept. 19 followed by a four set win at MSU Moorhead (25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-18) the following afternoon.
The Wildcats, who moved up three spots in this week's AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, now sit 8-2 (2-0 NSIC).
In their opening sweep, Mattie Kamery recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs to go along with one solo block as Channatee Robles added a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs to go along with two blocks (one solo).
Anna Borner tied for the team lead with 14 digs and one service ace.
Molly Romano finished with 30 assists, six digs, three kills and one service aces.
During the second match, Kamery tacked on a second double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs to go along with a service aces.
Robles (eight digs/one block) and Delaney Miller (one dig) both recorded 17 kills.
Borner led WSC in digs with 16.
Romano posted a double-double with 44 assists and 10 digs to go along with eight kills and two solo blocks.
Reese Johnson finished with a team-high two aces as Chloe Hanel took control at the net with five solo blocks.
#14 Wayne State College plays their first home matches of the season at Rice Auditorium on Tuesday at 6 p.m. hosting Augustsana University in league action.
WSC will also welcome NSIC foes of Minnesota Duluth on Friday at 6 p.m. and Bemidji State on Saturday at 5 p.m. The Wildcats will close out four straight at home with a non-conference match against Briar Cliff on Tuesday, September 30 at 6 p.m.
