Two more home matches were highlighted for #6 Wayne State College at Rice Auditorium over the weekend.
WSC began with a four-set win over MSU Moorhead (25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 25-16) on Oct. 31 followed by a 3-0 sweep against Minnesota Crookston (25-13, 25-9, 25-9) the following afternoon.
#6 Wayne State College has now won nine straight improving to 22-3 (15-1 NSIC).
The Wildcats improved to 9-0 at Rice Auditorium.
In the victory over MSU Moorhead, freshman Delaney Miller posted a team-high 20 kills and had one dig while sophomore Molly Romano recorded a double-double with 50 assists and 14 digs to go along with five kills, three blocks and an ace.
Junior Channatee Robles added 17 kills, nine digs and three aces while sophomore Chloe Hanel tabbed 12 kills, three digs and four blocks (one solo).
Redshirt junior Reese Johnson and sophomore Anna Borner tied for the team lead with 15 digs each.
The Wildcats hit .358 in the match.
During the win against Minnesota Crookston, freshman Mattie Kamery led WSC with 11 kills, six digs, two blocks and an ace while Robles followed with 10 kills, eight digs and a solo block.
Romano finished with 33 assists, six digs, two kills and a block.
Borner posted a team-high four service aces and 10 digs. Hanel tallied two blocks (one solo) with eight digs and six kills.
Junior Laney Kathol led WSC in blocks with three (one solo) to go along with five kills.
The Wildcats recorded a .370 attack percentage holding the Golden Eagles to -.022.
#6 Wayne State College will next visit Minot State on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. and travel to Bismarck, ND on Nov. 8 playing at 10 a.m. against University of Mary. WSC will close out their regular season hosting Jamestown (ND) and Northern State on Nov. 14-15.
