State Nebraska Bank & Trust has welcomed Amber Sperry as its new Assistant Vice President and Trust Officer.

In her role, Sperry will manage the trust department and accounts for retirement, health savings, and education. She succeeds Senior Vice President Diane Roeber, who retired at the end of February after 43 remarkable years with the bank.

“Diane Roeber has been an amazing asset to State Nebraska Bank & Trust, and her dedication and expertise will be very much missed,” said Sperry. “I am honored to step into this role and continue offering the same great service that clients have come to expect from our trust department. Being born and raised in Northeast Nebraska, I truly value this community and look forward to helping our clients achieve their financial goals and trust needs.”

Many in the community know Sperry from her previous work at the Wayne State Foundation as Director of Alumni Relations. She is also a dedicated volunteer, serving as a TeamMates mentor, Wayne Ambassador, Wayne Country Club Ladies Golf League Board Member, and member of various committees for Wayne America and Wayne Elementary Boosters.

Outside of work and volunteering, Sperry enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking desserts, and playing golf. She and her husband, along with their two children, can often be found exploring Wayne’s beautiful parks or cheering on the Wildcats at Wayne State College games.

Founded in 1892, State Nebraska Bank & Trust is Wayne’s only locally owned bank, operated by the same family for five generations. For more information, visit www.statenebank.com or call (402) 375-1130.
