Andrew "Andy" Clinton Chase left us on Oct. 31, 202, in his home in rural Allen. He was born in Wayne on June 24, 1987 to parents Rick and Deb Chase. Andy filled his life as a hard-working cowboy, avid hunter, and loving uncle figure to the many children in his life. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Andy was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wakefield on Aug. 2, 1987. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Martinsburg on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2002, where he continued to be a member.

On May 14, 2006 Andy graduated from Allen High School. During his high school years, Andy was a member of the FFA. He also worked for Michael Foods in Wakefield on weekends and during the summer.

Andy held numerous jobs throughout his life, one of which took him to the Genoa area where he worked at a feed yard. After working in Genoa for a year, he missed his family and friends, so he returned to Allen.

Andy had been employed for many years as a devoted cowboy by the Dixon County Feedlot. Alongside working full-time at the feedlot, Andy spent many hours helping Brent Blohm of Allen, assisting with his cow/calf and farming operation. Andy spent his last days working full-time with Brent. Andy had a special gift for farming and animals.

Andy had a heart of gold and was a friend to many. He will always be remembered for being the first to lend a helping hand. Andy had an overflowing heart for his nephews, the children in his life, and his animals. Andy was a patient teacher and loved letting kids ride his horses in the arena. Andy showed his kind heart by giving some of his best horses to his friend’s children so they too could have a horse to call their own. Andy will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Left to mourn Andy are his parents Rick Chase of Allen, Deb Chase of Wayne; two siblings - brother Scott Chase (Sydney), sister Chandra Chase (Jenni DeBoer); nephews Jaxon, Sy, and Hayes and niece Zaida; Uncles Brad, Bill and Jeff (Vicky) Chase and Aunt Lisa (Steve) Chase Gunsolley. Uncle Carl (Kay) Domsch and Aunt Pat (Steve) Lunz; numerous cousins and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Arlene Chase and Bill and Helen Domsch, and Uncle Brent Chase.
