Ann M. Geewe, 66, of rural Wakefield, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2024 at the Pender Community Hospital.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at First United Methodist Church in Wayne. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at First United Methodist Church in Wayne. Burial will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Wakefield Cemetery in Wakefield.
Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Wayne.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Ann Marie Geewe was born Sept. 25, 1958 in Wayne to Ronald Franklin and Bernice Luella (Benjamin) Rees. She attended Sholes Grade School and was a Wayne High School graduate. After attending Northeast Community College in Norfolk, she was employed at Providence Medical Center for 22 years, first as a clerk and then as an office manager. Ann married John Geewe Sept. 15, 1979 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayne. The couple lived on a farm near Wakefield. Later, Ann continued working as an office manager for Arnie’ Ford - Mercury in Wayne for 15 years and then for the Pender Community Hospital office, retiring in 2023. She enjoyed quilting and her time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, John; their son, James (Kyla) Geewe of Brainard; a brother, Howell Rees of Randolph; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law.
