Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department (NNPHD) is reporting one new positive case of confirmed COVID-19 within the health district on Thursday, April 30. Thursday’s patient is a male in his 20s who resides in Dixon County. The public health investigation has been completed; close contacts have been identified and are being contacted to ensure quarantine and isolation measures are being taken. The source of the infection has been identified.
As of April 30, there have been 252 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne Counties. The results of these tests includes 20 positive cases (Cedar - 4, Dixon - 10, Thurston - 4, and Wayne County - 2), 204 negatives, and 28 tests currently pending results.
