Another day another confirmed case of COVID-19 for NNPHD

Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department (NNPHD) reported one new positive case of confirmed COVID-19 within the health district on May 4. Monday’s patient resides in Dixon County and is a male in his 60s. The public health investigation has begun to find close contacts to ensure quarantine and isolation measures are being taken. The source of the infection is still being determined.

As of the evening of May 4, there have been 272 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne Counties. The results of these tests include 26 positive cases (Cedar - 4, Dixon - 14, Thurston - 6, and Wayne County - 2), 216 negatives, and 30 tests currently pending results.
