Area golfers battle winds at Laurel meet

Windy conditions made things challenging for area golfers as Hartington Cedar Catholic edged Randolph by two shots to win the LCC Invitational at Cedar View Country Club in Laurel.
Wakefield’s Parker Lehmkuhl was the only area golfer to finish in the top 15 medalists, placing 11th with an 87.
Garret Reynolds had the low round for Wayne, shooting a 97, while LCC’s Karsen Klooz and Ethan Gubbels shared the low round for the Bears with a 95.
Wayne and Wakefield tied for ninth out of 13 teams with a 413. LCC finished eighth with an even 400. Hartington CC shot a 333 to edge Randolph’s 335. Pierce was third with a 364.
