Area teams sport best round of season at Randolph

Both the Wayne and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge golf teams shot their lowest round of the year Monday at the Randolph Invitational.
The Wayne High boys finished ninth out of 12 teams and shot a season-low team score of 398. THey were led by Jayse Munsell, who shot a 95, with Jonah Brodersen adding a 98. Also scoring were Zach Urbanec with a 101, Garret Reynolds with a 104 and Peyton DeWald with a 106.
LCC was eighth overall with a season-best round of 379. Trey Erwin was 11th overall, carding an 82 to lead the Bears. Also scoring were Karsen Klooz with a 92, Logan Hansen with a 99, Zach Dietrich with a 106 and Billy Barelman with a 108.
Wayne hosts Stanton in a dual Thursday to close out the regular season at Wayne Country Club.
