Area tracksters qualify for state


Area high school track and field athletes competed in district action earlier this week, and the Nebraska School Activities Association announced the field for all four classes late Friday.

Qualifiers in district action, along with wild card entries in each event, will compete at Omaha Burke High School. Wayne will compete on Wednesday and Thursday, while athletes from LCC, Tri County Northeast, Wakefield and Winside will see action on Friday and Saturday.

The list of area athletes and their events (with competition time in parenthesis) is as follows:
