Here are Tuesday’s area volleyball highlights

Winside handles Wausa in three sets — Winside won on the road again Tuesday, defeating Wausa in a tight battle, 25-23, 25-23, 29-27. Andi Bargstadt had eight kills and two blocks, Hope Cummins added seven kills and three blocks, and Alyssa Brogren and Fauneil Olander each had four kills. Sarah Wolfe had 11 assists while Brookly Behmer added four. Brogren led the defense with 12 digs, Bargstadt added eight, Behmer and Olander each had seven and Wolfe picked up five. Winside goes to Santee for a triangular Thursday.

Wakefield, Allen battle at Randolph — Wakefield and Allen traveled to Randolph for a triangular, with the Trojans going 1-1 and the Eagles going 0-2. Wakefield edged Allen in three sets, 25-18, 24-26, 25-22. Jessica Borg had 13 kills, Emma Pommer added 10 and Breanna Chase and Devaney Brown each had seven for the winners. Chase had 17 assists and Borg added 12. For Allen, Bri Hingst had 15 kills, Summer Jackson added eight and Haley Stapleton had five. Cassidy Thomas had 31 assists. Hingst led the defense with 28 digs. Both teams lost to Randolph, with Wakefield falling in three sets, 25-16, 14-25, 25-21, and Allen losing in straight sets, 25-18, 25-8. Wakefield competes in a quadrangular at Emerson-Hubbard on Saturday, while Allen takes part in the Ponca Invitational on Tuesday.
