Bears win in four at Summerland

Ahead of a road triangular later in the week, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge volleyball team took to the road on Saturday.

From Ewing, LCC visited Summerland.

The Bears secured the four-set victory to improve to 19-2 overall. Since September 17, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has won 10 straight. The Bobcats fell to 13-9.

Scores of the match favored LCC 25-17, 18-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Sophomore Rena Rasmussen recorded 19 kills, eight digs and three blocks (one solo) as senior Tali Erwin followed with 11 kills and seven digs. Sophomore Carlie Kvols posted 40 assists, nine digs, three kills and two blocks as dig leaders were senior Lainey Schutte (five kills/one block) with 18 as well as sophomore Kaida Eriksen (seven kills) with 16.

Junior Tyler Recob tallied two kills, three digs and one block as senior Baylie Graf totaled seven digs.

Kvols and Recob both finished with five service aces; Erwin, Eriksen and Rasmussen all had two aces as Schutte tacked on an ace.
