Betty Ann Andersen, 91, of Hoskins, died Friday, April 11, 2025 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Winside.

Memorials may directed to Betty Ann’s family for later designation.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Betty Ann Andersen was born Sept. 22, 1933 to Ferdinand Carl and Meta Dora Sophia (Koepke) Voss on a farm in Wayne County near Winside. She attended country school District #11.  Betty Ann married Dean Allvin on Oct. 24, 1954.  To this union baby Allvin and Howard were born. Betty married Marvin Andersen on April 5, 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside.  They farmed the home place southeast of Winside for many years until moving into Hoskins in 1979.  To this union Kevin, Gary, and Linda were born. Betty Ann loved caring for her grandchildren and the neighborhood children. She enjoyed gathering with the Center Circle Club.

Survivors include her children, Howard (Becky) Allvin of Kearney, Kevin of Norfolk, Gary (Carla) of Hadar, Linda Kohl of Hoskins and Betty Jo Deck of Crawfordsville, Indiana; grandchildren, Alicia Allvin, Heather (Josh) Allvin-Wick, Andrew Allvin, Karen Andersen, Jennifer (Eric) Andersen-Gish, Pat (Samatha) Deck, and Steve Deck; great-grandkids, Aubrey Deck, Brettney Deck-Asllani, Paisley Wick, McKinley Wick and Alexander Gish;  great-great grandkids, Amelia Rose Asllani, Carter Asllani and Oakley Asllani;  several nieces;  nephews;  and good neighbors. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dean Allvin on June 3, 1956 and Marvin Andersen on April 14, 2018; one infant son; grandson, Christopher Andersen; daughter-in-law, Mary Andersen; son-in-law, David Kohl; brothers, George (Beverly) Voss, Marvin “Mike” Voss, Howard Voss, Leo (LaVila) Voss, William “Billie” Voss; sisters, Loretta Voss, Lorraine (Wayne) Denklau, and Margaret (Donald) Kay; in-laws, Leonard (Dorothy Jo) Andersen, Howard (Karlyne) Andersen, Jean Andersen and Dorothea (Dewey) Jensen; nephews, Tim Voss, Rick Kay and Bryan Denklau.
