Betty died Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 at the family farm, rural Wakefield.
Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk is in charge of the arrangements.
Betty Jean Henschke was born Oct. 11, 1955 in Wakefield to Eldor and Verona (Johnson) Henschke. She was baptized at the family farm and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in rural Wakefield. She attended country school K-8th at District #33, then graduated from Wakefield High School in 1973. Betty graduated from Wayne State College in 1977 with a degree in Business and minor in Psychology. She was a dedicated employee of Northeast PIG COOP south of Wayne for 34 years. She had a life-long love of all farm animals. She loved the farm and raised hogs, sheep, and cattle.
Survivors include her sisters Sandra Henschke and Cheryl Henschke of Wayne; brother, Damon (Tracy) Henschke of Wakefield, and her beloved nephew, Devan Henschke, of Wayne. She also leaves her rescued pet cat "punky."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldor and Verona Henschke, and stillborn sister, Jayne.
