The Wayne High girls basketball team came from behind in the fourth quarter, using a 13-0 run to post a 43-37 win Friday at Norfolk Catholic.
The Knights slowed down the Wayne offensive attack and kept things close throughout. Wayne led 17-16 at intermission, but the Knights came out and took the lead midway through the third quarter.
Norfolk Catholic led 31-25 midway through the fourth quarter when Wayne started its comeback. Allison Echtenkamp and Kelsey Boyer hit back-to-back baskets to pull the Blue Devils within four at 31-29, then took the lead for good with four free throws. Kylie Hammer followed with a basket, Boyer hit two free throws and Lindy Sandoz added a free throw to close out the win for the 12-4 Blue Devils.
Hammer led Wayne with 17 points and Boyer added 14.
Wayne hosts Crofton on Tuesday at Wayne High School.
