Blue Devil golfers third at BC


BATTLE CREEK — The Wayne High girls golf team battled their way to a third-place finish in a tight team race at Monday’s Battle Creek Invitational.

Senior Riley Haschke overcame a 10 on the first hole and finished with a 93 to earn runner-up honors among individuals.

Joslyn Johnson placed fourth with a 94, followed by Carli Canham with a 102 to place eighth. Lindsay Niemann rounded out the team score with a 120.

Wayne hosts Pierce and Hartington CC in a triangular on Thursday and will be at the Boone Central Invitational on Saturday in Albion.
