The Wayne Blue Devils Dance Team broke all records at their car wash on Aug. 17, held at the Wayne High parking lot.
Dancers, coaches, and parents washed 101 cars in four hours—the most ever — and raised $3,700. Funds will be used for costumes and travel expenses for the state dance competition in February.
The Blue Devil Dancers wish to thank everyone who supported the dance team and made a donation at the car wash.
Their first performance will be during half time at the Wayne High School football game against Hartington Cedar Catholic on Friday, Sept. 5, which will be held at Wayne State College. The team will also be hosting a tailgate featuring pulled pork sandwiches, chips, drinks, and homemade treats for a free will donation. For more info, follow the team on Facebook.
Members of the Blue Devils Dance Team include Adrienne Anderson, Kennasyn Blecke, Elle Powicki, Josie Ley, Jacen Hasemann, Karla Wynia, Mallory Redden, McKaeya Becker, Callen Gamble, Norah Davis, Olivia Brandow, Sophia Petersen, Lilly Redden, Araya Tentinger, Tenley Widner, Hadley Woehler as well as coaches Halley Carroll and Courtney Marksmeyer.
