RALSTON – Wayne didn’t have an answer for Boys Town’s athleticism as the Cowboys ran away with an 80-39 win over the Blue Devils in the Nebraska Prep Classic Saturday afternoon at Ralston Arena.

Boys Town led from start to finish, getting out to a 21-10 first-quarter lead and building it up to 21 points by halftime. The closest Wayne could get was early in the second when Mason Lee made back-to-back baskets to pull the Blue Devils within seven at 21-14. Boys Town answered with a 12-point run and took control of the game from there.

Grayson McBride was the lone Blue Devil in double figures, finishing with 15 points. Lee added eight points, Jack Evetovich and Ryan Jaixen each had six, and Payten Gamble put in four.

The 12-4 Blue Devils are back in action Thursday when they host West Point-Beemer as part of a boys-girls doubleheader at Wayne High School.
