HARTINGTON — On a windy day where every golfer struggled, the Wayne High girls golf team posted a 418 and finished fourth in Thursday’s Mid State Conference Championships at Hartington Golf Club.
Riley Haschke shot a 96 and finished fifth among individual golfers, with Joslyn Johnson placing ninth with a 100. Carli Canham shot 102, Charli Sievers had a 120 and Lindsay Niemann added a 121.
Among JV golfers, Trinity Surber and Rylynn Owen both shot 133 and Hallie Heithold added a 150.
Pierce won the team title with a 390, placing all four scoring golfers in the top 10. O’Neill, led by medalist Kaylin Gaughenbaugh’s 89, finished second, with Hartington CC one shot ahead of the Blue Devils in third.
Wayne will host their district golf tournament on Tuesday at the Wayne County Club, beginning at 9 a.m.
