The Wayne High volleyball team took care of business in Norfolk on Thursday with a straight-set win over Lutheran High Northeast, 25-14, 27-25, 25-20.
Lauren Pick had a match-high 17 kills, Kylie Hammer added eight and Katelyn Grone had seven for the Blue Devils. Emily Armstrong added five kills, Ashton Boyer had three and Shania Anderson had two. Allyson Avery had 19 assists along with two kills, while Erin O’Reilly had 14 assists.
Defensively, Avery had five blocks and Anderson and Pick each had four. Boyer had 18 digs, Hammer added 13 and Armstrong and Korrina Niemann each had 11.
Wayne opens Mid State Conference tournament play on Monday with a 6 p.m. matchup against Pierce at Norfolk Catholic.
