Seward took advantage of four errors early in the game and came away with a 10-0 shutout of Wayne/Wakefield in baseball action Saturday at Hank Overin Field.
The visiting Bluejays struck early, taking advantage of three early errors to build a 4-0 advantage. They would add three more in the fourth to take control of the game, and their pitching limited the Blue Devils to a single hit, as Payten Gamble led off the fifth inning with a single.
Tucker Nichols went the distance in taking the loss, allowing just four earned runs in six innings. He struck out three while allowing eight hits and a walk.
Wayne/Wakefield, 6-9, plays in West Point against GACC/S-S/WP-B before returning home next Saturday to host Yutan/Mead/Ashland-Greenwood.
