On Tuesday, the Blue Devils improved to 5-3 with a 9-0 win over Highway 91 in action at the Wayne Softball complex.
Sydney Biggerstaff had a sacrifice fly to score Hochstein and Maly followed home on a wild pitch in the first inning to give Wayne the early advantage. Annie Kniesche's RBI single scored Maly in the third, and Wayne broke the game open with six in the fifth, highlighted by Kortney Keller's bases-clearing double and a two-run game-ending single by Maly, who finished 3-for-4 and scored twice.
Belt threw a two-hit shutout for the Blue Devils, who are back in action Tuesday at Columbus Lakeview.
