Blue Devils sweep top four at Stanton

Wayne High’s girls golf team won their second tournament of the season in easy fashion Thursday, sweeping the top four individual spots to take top honors at the Stanton Invitational.

The Blue Devils were led by Joslyn Johnson, who shot a 91 to take medalist honors. Carli Canham finished three shots back with a 94 to place second and Lindsay Niemann carded a 98 to finish third. Charli Sievers won a scorecard playoff for fourth place with a 102.

Rylynn Owen shot a 137 to round out the varsity effort. Hallie Heithold shot 132 for the Wayne JV and Addison Sharpe had a 138.

LCC finished second with a 430 and were led by Holly Patefield, who finished fifth with a 102. Skylar Swanson was seventh with a 105 and Clara Brummels was ninth with a 109. Beka Lipp shot 114 to finish 14th and Harper Bruning rounded out hte round with a 123.

LCC’s JV was led by Lily Fox with 119, followed by Kennedy Hall (122), Danica Gould (125), Abby Lipp (144) and Abby Tasler (148).

Scoring for Tri County Northeast were Kim Ahlers with 130, Savannah Overfelt with 160 and Grace Ankeny with a 168.
