Home competition took over Tuesday night for Wayne High volleyball hosting West Holt.
From the Wayne Jr/Sr High School gymnasium, the Blue Devils picked up a 3-0 sweep of 25-17, 25-13, 25-16 to improve to 2-0.
The Huskies fell to 0-3.
Senior Elle Powicki recorded 10 kills, one dig and one block to lead Wayne followed by junior Alexis Legler with seven kills and two blocks.
Junior Addison Frank led the charge on the back row with 11 digs.
Junior Mallory Redden totaled 23 assists, five digs, one kill and one block.
Serving was not an issue for Wayne who finished with 18 total aces being led by senior Haley Kramer (one block) with eight and sophomore Kamden Dobbins who had five aces.
As a team, Wayne hit .288.
Next up for the Blue Devils will be the 2025 Northeast Nebraska Jean Groth Volleyball Classic with matches played in both Pender and Wisner.
The 12-team classic will be broken down into four pools at two locations starting tonight at 5:30 p.m.
Wayne will compete in Pool B at Wisner-Pilger (new gym) against the host Gators at 5:30 p.m. followed by a best-of-three match against West Point-Beemer at 6:30 p.m.
Teams will be placed in three different divisions for Saturday matches.
