The Wayne High volleyball team finished off a perfect home docket and wrapped up the regular-season Mid State Conference title with a four-set win Thursday, beating Battle Creek 21-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-19.
Wayne used the two-armed attack of senior Emily Armstrong and junior Lauren Pick to pick up the big win and improve to 24-4 on the season. Both had 24 kills and Armstrong had a team-best 27 digs to help the Blue Devils to the win.
Kiara Krusemark put up a season-high 53 set assists to direct the Wayne offense. Defensively, Armstrong was followed by Hailey Backer with 24 digs, Pick added 17, Sydney Redden had 12, Krusemark put up six, Frankie Klausen had five, Michaela McManigal added three, Erin O’Reilly had two and Rubie Klausen had one.
