Bonnie L. Mohlfeld, 78, of Wayne, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne surrounded by family.

Services will be held Friday, Nov. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.

Memorials may be directed to Bonnie’s family for later designation.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Bonnie Louise (Field) Mohlfeld was born April 20, 1943 in rural Wisner to Elray and Dorothy (Hansen) Field. She was baptized at United Lutheran in Wisner and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wayne. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1961. She was employed at Dorothy’s Café before getting married. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wayne and formerly of First Trinity Lutheran Church in Altona.  Bonnie married Harvey Mohlfeld on Aug.25, 1963. They farmed south of Wayne for 28 years, and then moved to Wayne in 1991. Bonnie worked in food service, a cleaning service and Curves for Women. Bonnie was a member of the Eagles Club (past president), and the Extension Club.  She loved to bowl, do crafts and decorate cakes, play softball (pitcher), and watch her grandchildren in their activities.  She enjoyed watching Oak Island and being with her friends.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Harvey; children, Mike Mohlfeld and Kathy Mohlfeld (Mike Nissen); two grandchildren, Brianna and Mackenzie Nissen; sister, Nina (Reed) and Dennis Spangler; brothers, William “Bill” Woehler, and Robert (Mary) Woehler, all of Wayne; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lester Field; stepfathers, William F. Woehler, Ted Reed and John Redel.
