Jeff Kaminsky was formally introduced Wednesday afternoon as the new men's basketball coach at Wayne State College, and he announced that the Wildcats will face Creighton University, coached by former WSC coach Greg McDermott, in an exhibition to start the 2016-17 season.
The Wildcats will face Creighton on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Century Link Center. They will face the Bluejays, coached by McDermott, who coached at Wayne State from 1994-2000.
Wayne State will open the 2016-17 season with an Alumni Game on Saturday, Oct. 22, and will host Midland University of Tuesday, Nov. 1. The begin the regular season Friday, Nov. 11 at the Missouri Western Tip-Off Classic in St. Joseph, Mo.
