The annual club championships were held over the weekend at the Wayne Country Club with the championship flight playing two rounds while flight players just played Sunday.
A 36-hole event is normally enough to determine a champion but not this time around. In fact, 37 and 38 holes were also not enough as Casey Brentlinger and Heath Erwin battled 39 holes before Brentlinger edged out the win to go back-to-back.
The sudden death playoff saw both Brentlinger and Erwin par the first hole and birdie the second hole. Casey would par the third hole. Heath’s lengthy putt to tie came up short.
While Jessi Jensen took the honors with the low gross score in the women's club championship, it was Martina Swanson winning the net portion in the ladies division with a net score of one-over par 73.
Other flight winners included:
Mike Barry (first flight) three-under par for a net score of 69.
Rich Rethwisch (second flight) with a net score of four-under par 68.
Kevin Peterson (third flight) with a net score of two-under par 70.
Mark Heithold (fourth flight) with a tournament best net score of six-under par 66.
