Bressler Fest brings variety of Music to Wayne

Posted

Bressler Fest is an event that brings music to Wayne each of the four Sundays following Labor Day.

Each Sunday's music will be presented in Bressler Park from 5 to 7 p.m.

In addition to the music, those attending are encouraged to come "picnic in the park with family and friends" as several food vendors will be available each evening.

This year's event begins on Sunday, Sept. 11 with music being provided by Ecko, "a fun dance band from Omaha with music that moves you."

On Sunday, Sept. 18, Tegan Nissen, an aspiring singer/songwriter from Wayne will be performing.

Good Morning Bedlam, a high energy folk band known for their wild performances and strong vocal, will take the stage on Sunday, Sept. 25.

This year's Bressler Fest closes out on Sunday, Oct. 2 with the Mark Vyhlidal Orchestra, which has had 50 years of performing and  keeping the Czech heritage alive.

The rain location for any of the performances will be the Wayne City Auditorium.

The event is partially funded by a grant from the Wayne County Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
