Brett James Serven, 52 of Whitney, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 15 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dixon with Christian burial to follow.
Brett James Serven was born April 13,1971, in Wayne to James and Sharon (Onderstal) Serven. He has one sister, Kristi (Serven) Warne. Brett received his High School Diploma in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Shelley Lynn Henzler on April 28, 1995, and together they had three children; Bryce, Brooke, and Brock; and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Atticus Serven.
Brett was self employed for many years and spent the last 18 years in the oil field industry. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going for long drives with no particular place to go.
He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Alden and wife, Agnes Serven of Concord; and Clarence and wife, LaRoyce Onderstal of Allen.
