The Building Blocks Early Childhood & Family Development Center Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Amanda Christensen as the Director of the new Center, located in Laurel.
Christensen brings a wealth of experience and passion for early childhood education and family development, which will further strengthen the Center's commitment to providing exceptional care and learning to the children and families it will serve.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood from Wayne State College and is excited to bring her passion for child development and family support to the Building Blocks Center. She resides in Hartington where she and her husband, Brandon, are raising their two daughters.
“I am very excited for this new journey as the Director of Building Blocks. I look forward to utilizing my knowledge to support and develop our growing staff into great educators,” Christensen said.
With over 12 years of experience in the field, Christensen has a proven track record of leadership and dedication to fostering a nurturing, safe and educational environment for young learners. In this role, she will oversee all aspects of the Center's operations, curriculum, community outreach initiatives and Laurel Concord Coleridge School’s (LCC) before/after school program.
