Following the tabulation of results, Wayne County District 2 Commissioner Dean Burbach has been recalled from his position.
Unofficial results of the election were released Tuesday evening with 341 votes for the removal of Bubach from the position and 206 against. There was one undervote for a total of 548 ballots cast.
The county has 45 days to fill the position, which will be advertised and applications taken.
The decision on who the replacement will be will be determined by the Wayne County Clerk, Wayne County Treasurer and Wayne County Attorney.
The unofficial results will become official after being tabulated by the canvasing board.
