Private family graveside services for Carmen M. Petersen, 56, of Randolph will be held at the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Winside.

Carmen Marie (Rohde) Petersen was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Osmond on May 30, 1968 to Jack and Elsie Rohde. Carmen entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at home in Randolph with her loving family at her side.
Carmen graduated in 1986 from Randolph High School. After graduation Carmen entered the workforce. In the early 90’s Carmen started working for Hartington Telemarking Inc., where she met Danny Petersen. Danny and Carmen were married on Friday July 10, 1992 in the upstairs conference room of HTI. To this union two sons were born. Later, Carmen was employed at Pronto in Randolph where she held the title of General Manager. Her final and most beloved career of 16 years was at Christensen Farms, where she got to work with pigs.
Carmen was very passionate about animals. She made it her life’s mission to feed and care for every stray animal that crossed her path. Carmen enjoyed doing puzzles, playing games on her computer, and listening to Michael Jackson. She loved being a momma and grandma. She is deeply missed.
Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Danny Petersen Sr.; mother, Elsie (Larry Kessler) Rohde; her father; a daughter, son Danny (Jordan) Petersen Jr. of Plainview, son Brennen (Paige) Petersen of Winside; grandchildren Oakley, Rhettley, Roman, Irelyn, Luhka, Knightley and Kamryn; mother-in-law, Barb Petersen; her siblings, sibling-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Delbert Petersen; and three angel grandbabies.
