Funeral services for Carol A. Doorlag, 63, of Wayne will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at Journey Christian Church in Wayne. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 at the church. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Carol’s family for later designation.
She died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Carol Ann Doorlag was born July 1, 1960 to Earl and Janet (Carstens) Fuoss in Wayne. Carol was a graduate of Wayne High School and Wayne State College. Carol married Tom Doorlag on June 16, 1990 at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California. Together they made their home in Wayne with their two sons, Josh and Corey. They were members of Journey Christian Church in Wayne. Carol enjoyed her time as a daycare provider in her home, following her children’s activities in school, camping, collecting angels, but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Tom; their sons, Josh Doorlag and Kortnie Eckstrom of O'Neill, Corey (Breanna) Doorlag of Fremont; parents, Earl and Janet Fuoss of Wayne; and grandchildren, Amellia Rose and Emmett Jay Doorlag.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Elsie Carstens, and Herman and Esther Fuoss.
