A trio of area high school boys golf programs played nine holes to decide the top overall team and individual champion on May 1.
From the Hartington Golf Club, LCC joined the host Hartington-Newcastle along with Ponca on Thursday. Including JV and varsity, 28 golfers made up five full teams and two partial teams.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge shot a round of 198 to place second.
Ponca finished with the low team score of 177 as Hartington-Newcastle posted a 199.
The Bears were led by Talon Carson with a 45 to place fifth as Tanner Thompson earned a top 10 finish in eighth (48).
Other LCC varsity results came from Luke Erwin (11th – 52), Cade Johnson (12th – 53) and Gibson Roberts (17th – 54).
Kayne Gratzfeld from Hartington-Newcastle was crowned individual champion with a 40.
