Champions for coaches submissions being accepted

As every coach plays an important role in shaping the future, some go further as the Nebraska High School Activities Association (NSAA) would like to recognize this year’s ‘Champions For Coaches’.

According to a release, NSAA officials are accepting nominations for the 2025 program.

From motivating students to achieve their best to fostering a culture of respect along with building bridges between the classroom and community, coaches are there.

If you know a coach who exemplifies these qualities, make sure to nominate at the link below.

The coach’s name, school, activity/sport, the individual making the nomination’s name, email address along with why does this coach/sponsor deserve to be recognized and how they impacted their students, school and community will be needed.

NSAA activities are the other half of education. The 24 NSAA sanctioned sports and five activities would not be possible without the leadership and support of coaches across their NSAA member schools.

‘Champions for Coaches’ is a program designed to honor active coaches who go above and beyond for kids and the community. Students, administrators, parents/guardians and community members are encouraged to nominate such coaches.

Nominations will be accepted through Monday, January 27, 2025 and will be reviewed by an NSAA selection committee.

One individual in each NSAA sanctioned activity will be honored at a reception on Friday, March 14, 2025, during the 6:00 p.m. Class A boys state basketball semifinal game at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. The ‘Champions for Coaches’ will also be recognized at halftime of the game.
