Charles E. “Chuck” Prince, 75, of Wayne, formerly of Winside, died suddenly Monday, Feb. 10, 2025 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18 at Winside United Methodist Church in Winside. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 at Winside United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Winside
Memorials may be directed to the Prince family for later designation.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
Charles Edward “Chuck” Prince was born Jan. 30, 1950 in Norfolk to Cecil Charles and Memphis Virginia (Tibbs) Prince. He was baptized and confirmed at the Winside United Methodist Church. After graduating from Winside High School in 1968, he attended and graduated from Wayne State College. He lived in California for about a year, before returning to the Winside and Wayne areas. Over the years, Chuck enrolled in many classes at Wayne State College and traveled to Spain. He worked at Logan Valley Sales Company in Pender full time and part time from 1997 up to the time of his death. He loved to read and to care for his cat, Boots.
Survivors include one brother, Russell (Lorraine) Prince of Winside; nieces; nephews and cousins.
Preceding Chuck in death were his grandparents; parents, Cecil and Memphis; one brother, Buford Prince; one sister, Phyllis Prince and aunts and uncles.
