The Wayne Chicken Show Committee has released the 2022 Wayne Chicken Show T-shirt design.
The t-shirt was designed by Brittany Webber and represents the 2022 theme of “Chicken’s Guide to the Galaxy. The Meaning of Life, the Universe and Egg-rything”. The shirt features space, chickens and the Wayne America water tower. On the sleeve is a play off of the hitchhiker’s symbol designed to look like a chicken. “Don’t panic” is printed on the sleeve upside down to give reassurance to the wearer.
T-shirts will go on sale Tuesday, April 12 and will be available at the Wayne Area Economic Development office located at 108 W 3rd Street. T-shirts are available for $20 each for youth small through adult XL and $22 for adult 2XL and 3XL.
The Wayne Chicken Show is held annually on the second weekend in July and the 42nd Annual Wayne Chicken Show will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 8-10, in Wayne.
Founded by the Wayne Regional Arts Council, the Wayne Chicken Show was first held in 1981.
