Wayne State College's City Stroll will be back for its second year. This is a fresh twist on Wayne State’s former Business & Industry Expo. It will take place on Thursday, Aug. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. in downtown Wayne.
City Stroll is a community-wide event where Wayne State students get to explore everything Wayne, America has to offer. It is a chance to showcase businesses, share special deals, job opportunities, and connect with new customers.
Those taking part can set up in a storefront or reserve a spot at Our Savior Lutheran Church lot.
The goal is to highlight local businesses to students, share job openings with eager jobseekers and "be part of a lively, fun-filled community event!"
Wayne State Career Services will help guide students downtown and provide each company with tickets to hand out. Students will enter tickets for prize drawings at the Our Savior Lutheran Church lot.
Those participating are encouraged to hand out free samples, offer special promotions, or fun activities to draw a crowd.
