An interim road foreman was appointed to handle road work in Wayne County District 2 following action taken during Tuesday's meeting of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners.
Travis Hefti will serve as the interim road foreman until a commissioner is appointed for District 2. This comes after the recall of Dean Burbach as District 2 Commissioner in last week's election.
On a related note, during Tuesday's meeting Wayne county Clerk Joni Tietz presented the certified election results for the Commissioner Recall Election. She said the results had been canvased according to law.
Commissioners approved seven Wayne County Convention Bureau Lodging Tax requests.
