Information on the carbon dioxide pipeline situation in Nebraska and surrounding states was shared during this week's meeting of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners.
Shelli Meyer with Bold Nebraska updated the commissioners on the status of permits for installing CO2 pipelines in surrounding states.
Also on Tuesday's agenda was a report from Sandra Bernt on the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds utilized in Wayne County.
Commissioners gave their approval for several Wayne County Convention & Visitors Bureau grant applications while also denyig one.
Considerable time was spent discussing the details, work hours and pay scale for the maintenance position that is currently vacant.
The Wayne County Board of Commissioners will next meet in regular session on Tuesday, May 5 at 9 a.m. in the Wayne County Courthouse.
