Commissioner Burbach said "no" and no further discussion was held on the topic.

Commissioners approved an auditor engagement letter with Longeman & Associates for the annual audit. This is part of a three year contract with the firm.
County Treasurer Lisa Lindsay said the BOK financial bonds that the county holds need to be audited within a nine month time frame, rather than a year that is needed for the remainder of the county's audit. This information was noted and will be supplied to the audit firm.

At that time, the board was set to take action on carrying forward $458,929.39 as unused budget authority; take action on a resolution to approve the 2025-2026 budget and take action on a resolution to approve the 2025 tax rate.
The Wayne County Board of Commissioners will next meet in regular session on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9 a.m. the Wayne County Courtroom.
